Most of what we build shares one shape: apps and portals on the front, one secure backend behind them, and the automations that take repetitive work off your team.
A quote captured on a tablet in the field shows up on the office dashboard a second later, the PDF goes to the customer automatically and the payment is recorded against it. One set of data, one set of rules and no copying between systems.
HiveBill
HiveBill is invoicing, quotes and online bookings for South African small businesses. It works in rand, adds the VAT for you and installs on iPhone, Android and desktop. Synthik designed it, built it and runs it, so every client project benefits from what we learn shipping our own software.

We are based on the KwaZulu-Natal coast and work with clients from Umhlanga to Johannesburg, Cape Town and beyond: in person around Durban, remotely everywhere else. Local support, South African pricing, and software built for how business is actually done here.

You see the scope and the price before work starts. If something changes, you get a revised quote to approve first.
Code, design, domain, hosting and store accounts are yours. No hostage hosting, no proprietary page builders.
We collect only what a feature needs, store it securely and write privacy policies that match what the software really does.
Version-controlled, tested and documented, so your software stays fast and safe long after launch, whoever looks after it.
(08) FAQ
Every project is scoped and quoted individually, because a five-page website and a multi-role platform are different jobs. After a short discovery call you get a fixed price in rand, in writing, before any work starts. If the scope changes, you see a revised quote first. Nothing is billed by surprise.
A business website usually goes live two to four weeks after we have your content. Web and mobile apps are planned in phases, and a first release typically lands in six to sixteen weeks depending on scope. Your proposal includes a timeline with dates.
Yes. We build native apps in Swift and Kotlin when performance or device features demand it, and cross-platform apps in Flutter when one codebase for both stores makes more sense. We handle App Store and Google Play submission, or private distribution for internal apps.
No. The studio is in Durban and we are happy to meet in person around KwaZulu-Natal, but most of our work runs remotely for clients across South Africa, with video calls and a private preview link you can open on any device.
Yes. For larger organisations we take on fixed-term contracts with a defined scope: a new system, a rebuild, a mobile app or extra engineering capacity. We work inside your tools and process, sign your NDA, and hand over documented, tested code at the end.
You do. Once the project is paid in full, the code, design and content are yours, and your domain, hosting and app-store accounts are registered in your name from the start. We never hold a site hostage.
We build every site with POPIA in mind: a privacy policy that matches what the site actually does, consent on forms, no unnecessary tracking and secure hosting. We are engineers, not attorneys, so for regulated industries we recommend a legal review of the final wording.
If you want us to. We offer hosting, updates, monitoring and support after go-live, quoted monthly, so changes are a message away. If you would rather run it yourself, you get a full handover.
